Welcome to the Yorkshire Countrywomen
Thank you for visiting our Website which we hope you will find both interesting and informative.
If this is your first visit and you would like to know a little more about us, then please go to our 'Who Are We?' section on the left hand side of the page. However, if you would like to know a little more of what's been happening recently then please read on ........
We held our annual carol service at St Michael Le Belfrey Church in York. We are always very warmly welcomed, although perhaps this year it maybe was a little too warm! The choir members who travel from the North Riding were magnificent and the Rev Jim Roberts seemed to pitch the content of his sermon just right. Thank you to all those who have written to say how much you enjoyed it.
Here at Central Office we are enjoying a quiet time after all the activity leading up to Christmas. The next event on the calendar is to send your entries in for the next edition of the magazine. I'm sure you agree that at a mere £1 per copy it really is a good read and keeps you up to date with other branches and their activities.
We hope you are busy preparing your entries for the Annual Craft Competition which is to be held on Saturday 25th March at Wetherby. Entry forms must be received by Central Office no later than Thursday 9th February.
Look out for the application form for the AGM to be held in May - we have some very interesting ladies arriving at Askham Bryan College.......
If you need any further information on anything mentioned above please do call the office.
Make sure you see our News and Events Section for details of forthcoming events.
