Yorkshire Day Celebrations
< >

Welcome to the Yorkshire Countrywomen

Thank you for visiting our Website which we hope you will find both interesting and informative.

If this is your first visit and you would like to know a little more about us, then please go to our 'Who Are We?' section on the left hand side of the page.  However, if you would like to know a little more of what's been happening recently then please read on ........

We recently held our annual craft competition in Wetherby. Members spend months working on their entries for this competition and it never fails to amaze us with the level of skill and talent displayed throughout the various categories.  We had an excellent sunny day and all who visited enjoyed meeting up and chatting with friends from other branches throughout Yorkshire.

Looking ahead, we are excited to be welcoming the Yorkshire Rows who will be speaking at our Annual General Meeting on 24th May at Askham Bryan College Conference Centre, York. The morning business session is strictly for members only but the afternoon may be opened up to the general public if tickets are available. Please contact Central Office to enquire.

Moving on to June we will be holding a rag rug workshop for primary schoolchildren at the Countryside Days event at The Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate as part of their education programme.

Look out for our stand at a variety of agricultural shows around the county during the summer months.  If you would like a nice day out, visit us at the Whitby Folk Festival between 19th and 25th August at Whitby Leisure Centre.

Following on from our sucessful visit to Tennants in Leyburn last year for Yorkshire Day, we are hosting this year's event for our members at York Racecourse.

If you need any further information on anything mentioned above please do call the office.

There are lots of other events and outings taking place arranged by individual branches and ridings, so please make sure you see our News and Events Section for details of forthcoming events.

If you think you would enjoy being part of the YCA family and would like to join a nearby Branch or even start a new Branch in your village, please contact Gill or Joan at Central Office on 01904 451 581 or email: ycacentraloffice@gmail.com

We would love to have your feedback and comments on the contents of our website.  Please email Gill or Joan at the above email.
