Branch News - BRAITHWELL

July 1, 2014

Our summer outing this year was to Goathland, where we enjoyed a coffee and scone, which was rather large! Then onto Whitby, where the inevitable visit to Trenchers was made for their delicious fish and chips.

Fortunately, before lunch, a number of our members decided to take up the offer of a trip around the bay on the old lifeboat (I am not the best sailor in the world!) Also in our favour, the sea was quite calm and Captain Birdseye Bob had a great sense - of humour, which ensured a most memorable ‘cruise’.

Many thanks once again to our ‘outings’ girls, Margaret and Joy.
