Branch News - RICHMOND

Members enjoyed the trip on the Strathspey Steam Railway as part of our YCA ‘Autumn in the Highlands’ holiday, arranged by Liz Timms. Our journey took us from Aviemore to Boat of Garten, then on to Broomhill and back to Aviemore. We enjoyed some spectacular scenery, travelling alongside the 107-mile long river Spey, one of the best salmon rivers in Europe, with the ever-present view of the Cairngorm Mountains looming in the background.
We were intrigued by the T.T.I. (Technical Ticket Inspector), a role which he filled with great humour.
